Customers can create their favourite island looks with palettes inspired by The Able Sisters, Tom-Nook and all the gang

Beauty and gaming fans can now get their hands on an official line of Animal Crossing cosmetics thanks to a new collaboration with ColourPop.

Users can create their favourite looks with the New Horizons collection, which features 11 skus influenced by characters in Nintendo’s island utopia game.

The purple Labelle of the Ball Palette is partnered with the Able Sisters, while the mint-green edition takes inspiration from Tom-Nook the racoon.

A brown and nude version has been dedicated to Blathers the owl and his younger sister Celeste, and there’s a pink palette for Isabelle, the nearsighted bright yellow dog and players’ in-game companion.

The brand has also released three tinted lip sets, two powder blushes and a glitter gel.

ColourPop’s new island launch is expected to hit the market on 28 January.

Animal Crossing has become one of beauty’s favourite partnership games since the Covid-19 pandemic put a hold on socialising in-person.

The game became Nintendo’s sixth best-selling game in 2020, and the fantasy island world has been particularly popular with consumers in their 20s and 30s, creating a new opportunity for consumers to reach their customer-base during lockdown.

Glow Recipe, Shiseido, Venus, Parfums Givenchy, Tatcha and Benefit Cosmetics are just a few of the beauty brands to have all partnered with the family-friendly game in the last year.
