According to Euromonitor International, the colour cosmetics market in Russia in 2014 continued its dynamic development with growth of 4% and a value of 65 billion rubles (US$1.03bn). The market is close to saturation, say industry experts, as in previous years annual growth was slightly higher, at around 6%.
The slowdown in the economy and fewer mass market launches as in previous years have also contributed to a lower growth rate, while another factor is consumers’ price sensitivity towards product.
