This year, the UK colour cosmetics market continued to build upon the wealth of new product launches that last year had to offer. Not only was there a healthy number of new line expansions from established brands, but there were also some impressive colour debuts from newer players. It seemed that this year was also the year that UK retailers landed in the colour spotlight too, as Sainsbury’s and Superdrug unveiled their widely anticipated new own brand colour cosmetics collections (see Retailer own lines – Colour pay off).
