Yvonne Orji, best known for her role as Molly in the HBO series Insecure, will appear in a selection of promotional videos for the brand’s new campaign
Colgate Total has announced it is teaming up with Nigerian-American actress and stand-up comedian Yvonne Orji for its new Totally Ready campaign.
The campaign has been launched to inform consumers about the importance of taking care of their whole mouth - gums, teeth, tongue and cheeks.
On 14 February the brand released its first campaign video, Totally Ready just in time for Valentine’s Day, starring Orji.
In the video Orji showed off her comedic talents when discussing Valentine’s Day and said what she enjoys most about it.
In a statement she said: “I am so excited about this partnership with Colgate Total.
“A healthy smile has always been important to me. My healthy smile makes me feel good.
“Last year was a really good year for me. I want to take that and make it bigger and better for 2018. So, not only do I need to be totally ready, I know that I must stay ready.”
Carla Kelly General Manager, Multicultural Marketing, Colgate-Palmolive, added: “Colgate is thrilled to partner with this multitalented star as we witness her amazing journey.”
The 34-year-old will also appear in the upcoming comedy film Night School with self-deprecating comedian Kevin Hart.
Orji’s series of Totally Ready videos can be seen via her and Colgate’s Instagram pages using #ColgateSmile.
