Founded by Emily Weiss in 2014, the skin care and make-up has just launched its Futuredew oil-serum hybrid

Glossier’s latest launch aims to give skin care fans that 'just moisturised look' all day long.

In honour of the brand’s ‘skin first, make-up second’ motto, Futuredew is an oil-serum hybrid that promises to deliver an instant and lasting glow.

To be applied as the final step in the user’s skin care routine, the new launch contains a blend of four oils (jojoba, grape seed, evening primrose and rosehip), squalene and Evodia rutaecarpa extract.

According to the cult beauty brand, a clinical trial found that increased radiance was observed in 12 hours in 93% of subjects and after four weeks all of the participants said radiance was observed before they even applied Futuredew.

“With the moisturising, brightening benefits of skin care, and the light-reflecting, soft-focus finish you usually get from make-up, Futuredew is your skin, but glowier,” said Glossier.

Founded by Emily Weiss in 2014, Glossier became an instant hit with millennial consumers thanks to its signature pink packaging and ability to crowdsource product ideas directly from shoppers via social media.

In March, the disruptor created spin-off brand Glossier Play and earned unicorn status – a privately held start-up worth more than US$1bn – with its $1.2bn valuation in the same month.
