Consumers demand greater sustainability from DTC brands

Survey finds more consumers are focusing on ethical and sustainable credentials

UK consumers are increasingly focusing on sustainability when it comes to choosing direct-to-consumer (DTC) brands, according to research by Rakuten Marketing.

In a study by the firm, British consumers still prioritise price (71%) and product quality (50%) as their main motivators when buying subscription-based services, sustainability (16%) and ethics (17%) are becoming increasingly important drivers.
