Cornelius Group, a Specialty Chemicals Distributor, remains focused on delivering the aspirational three year strategy, based on growing and consolidating domestic UK market share and aggressive European expansion. SPC has asked Cornelius CEO, Dr Neville Prior, about the reasons behind the company's rapid move into the list of largest European Distributors, resulting in the prestigious The Sunday Times HSBC International Track 200 and ICIS listings.

Cornelius CEO, Dr Neville Prior, said to SPC: "2012 has been an exceptional year for Cornelius and its European subsidiaries. We have been successfully growing our traditional UK businesses. Strong relationships with our principals allows us to continuously bringing innovation and added value benefits to customers in all of the operational markets. For example, our portfolio of BASF personal care ingredients have been enriched by incorporating the Cognis legacy range in April 2012, while innovative efficacy proven products from Silab allows us to offer the competitive edge to our customers, taking them into growth.

We remain committed to our strategy of European distribution, and now operate in 7 countries across Europe. During this last year we have started business operations in Scandinavia by launching Cornelius Nordic, while Cornelius France has been going from strength to strength. I am pleased to report that, following Lonza's acquisitions of Arch Chemicals, our Cornelius Polska Sp. z o.o. has  been appointed Lonza's exclusive representative distributor for Poland, for the whole product range of Lonza Personal Care. Cornelius Polska has a long standing reputation for offering quality innovative products, and by introducing Lonza ingredients we can now offer our customers even more opportunities for the successful new products development.

We've recently announced two new appointments: Joanna Dolega has joined Cornelius Polska Sp. z.o.o as a Technical Sales Representative covering customers in the East of Poland, and Manar Kourimate has joined Cornelius France as a Technical Sales Representative covering the North of the country. Joanna and Manar are a great addition to our teams, and will assist our rapidly expanding client base as well as help us to continue deliver added value services to our business partners."
