Coronavirus: Will the UK government grants cover beauty businesses?

More than 600,000 businesses are expected to receive a one-off payment of up to £9,000 during the new England-wide lockdown, but will beauty companies benefit?

Following the announcement of a new England-wide lockdown, the third in ten months, the Treasury has introduced a fresh one-off grant for businesses in the UK.

Worth up to £9,000, the grant will offer ‘retail, hospitality and leisure’ companies a financial lifeline as new restrictions will force many to close from 6 January.

More than 600,000 businesses are expected to benefit from the cash injection, while an extra £594m discretionary fund will be made available to support other impacted businesses.
