Lancôme is giving the holiday season some extra sparkle while paying tribute to its Parisian roots with its 2021 advent calendar, created by packaging company Cosfibel.

With an eye-catching pink design, the coffret is designed to surprise and delight users when opened up to reveal a Paris skyline, complete with a miniature Eiffel Tower at its centre.

Inside the cardboard buildings, users will discover 25 miniatures of Lancome's best selling fragrance, cosmetics and skin care products, including La Vie Est Belle edp, Lash Idole mascara and Advanced Génifique serum, among others.

First dropping in September, the calendar also scooped Cosfibel the top prize for best fragrance and cosmetics coffret at the Luxe Pack trade show for its innovative design and technical challenges.

Created by Atelier Patrice Begnier, the coffret was recognised by the judges for its the strength of its design, which features a cardboard base and solid paper hinges, designed to be strong enough to be opened and closed multiple times without damaging the décor.

The cardboard building shapes were created and attached by hand and finished with varnish to avoid lamination, while for the Eiffel Tower, Cosfibel used a holographic polyester to give the iconic landmark some sparkle.

Meanwhile, to create a calendar that is eco-friendly as well as aesthetically pleasing in line with the L'Oréal-owned premium brand's positioning, Cosfibel used FSC-certified materials to ensure the calendar is fully recyclable.
