Cosmetic Scientist / Regulatory Compliance Officer - Cheshire - £22,000 - £26,000 DOE

Knowledge of raw materials used within the cosmetics industry would also be a plus point for applicants

Amelia Knight is seeking a new member of the Technical Team to work in regulatory compliance. Knowledge and experience of working to the EU Cosmetics Regulation 1223/2009 is important. A degree in Cosmetic Science is not essential but is an advantage. Knowledge of raw materials used within the cosmetics industry would also be a plus point for applicants.  Any customer facing technical experience or time spent in a cosmetics lab is also desirable.

Main duties will include:

  • Reviewing raw materials against the Cosmetic Regulation
  • Reviewing artwork for regulatory compliance
  • Working within a team to approve or reject quality samples
  • Sensory reviews of new formulations
  • Working with 3rd party testing houses
  • Potentially customer facing
