Our client is a niche recruitment consultancy within the Fashion and Retail Industry. The company is privately owned and owner managed. In business for over 14 years, they now have a small team of 5 and are very successful in their field.
They operate in the UK as well as internationally. They have a pragmatic approach to exploring new business opportunities and are expanding their services to include the Health and Beauty industry; including Beauty Brands, Retailers and their supply chain.
The new Cosmetics & Beauty division will focus on the recruitment of Technologists, NPD and Formulation Technologists, Quality Assurance, Packaging and Compliance Technologists within the Cosmetics and Beauty sector.
Our client seeks a Cosmetics & Beauty Account Executive to join their recruitment team. Experience working in the Cosmetics and Beauty industry is absolutely essential. You may have had previous recruitment experience although this is not essential; training and support will be given.
Well connected candidates from a retail, manufacturing or supplier background and with a sound knowledge of the industry structure would be suitable. A technical background in Cosmetics and Beauty is not essential but could be an advantage.
The role is focused on lead generation and building client and consultant relationships. The initial task will be to establish new Clients and secure vacancies whilst concurrently building a database of potential consultants and candidates.
The successful candidate will work within an established framework and proven business model.The role can be managed from the candidates own premises although reasonable commuting distance to Kent or London is preferable.
Excellent support services will be available to establish this new department.
After the initial phase there is an opportunity to expand the role within the company, develop ongoing Client relationships and complete the recruitment process.
An in depth knowledge of the Cosmetics and Beauty industry is essential for this role, technical knowledge preferred but not a prerequisite for the role.
You will be motivated by a new business opportunity, hard-working and willing to persevere in a challenging environment.
Excellent telephone manner and interpersonal skills are essential
Excellent communications skills - personal, professional and friendly.
Good organisational skills with the ability to adapt to existing systems.
Ability to work well as part of a small team and independently
Ideally educated to degree or equivalent level with good computer skills
Flexibility in approach and willingness to accept additional responsibilities
The position would suit candidates with experience in a customer/client facing position, HR or recruitment focused role within the Cosmetics & Beauty industry or, candidates from a cosmetic technical background looking to diversify and expand their skills.
Hours and salary
The client seeks a candidate initially for a minimum of 2 days a week and are flexible as to how these hours are worked. Candidates should be available for additional hours as business develops. Remuneration negotiable.
