The 46th edition of Cosmoprof Worldwide Bologna’s ‘show within a show’, Cosmopack, saw over 330 exhibitors debuting their latest packaging innovations, as Lucy Copp reports

With 2,390 global exhibitors showcasing their latest cosmetics and packaging innovations, and all under one roof, it won’t come as a surprise to hear that a record breaking 193,842 visitors flocked through the doors of the BolognaFiere in March for the 46th edition of Cosmoprof Worldwide Bologna. The international aspect of the show was especially prominent this year, with 1,500 exhibitors attending from outside of Italy, 24 national collectives with new entries from Japan, India, Indonesia, Pakistan and Colombia, and over 200 meetings held by the delegation of Chinese buyers alone.

Speaking about the success of Cosmoprof, Duccio Campagnoli, President of BolognaFiere and show organiser SoGeCos, said: “We have risen to the challenge that we set ourselves. The new Cosmoprof is increasingly international and professional, with the participation of buyers and delegations from abroad to whom we have offered the highest levels of quality and specialisation. Cosmoprof has brought together the community of professionals, artists and creative people from the beauty world.”
