Beauty giant in talks with US nail colour brand


The Coty group whose fragrance portfolio includes the Calvin Klein, Marc Jacobs and Davidoff licenses, has been mooted to add professional nail colour brand OPI to its line-up.  A report from the Bloomberg agency suggests the companies are ready for close negotiations in an operation reportedly worth around $1bn.

OPI has annual sales of $300m and sells its products in perfumeries and professional salons.  Coty has a turnover of some $2.6bn.
