Countdown to in-cosmetics global begins

Published: 9-Nov-2016

Following its biggest-ever event in Paris earlier this year, the in-cosmetics Global event will return to London for the first time in 15 years.

More than 9,000 visitors are expected from more than 100 countries when the event opens on 4 April. Around 800 international suppliers will showcase their latest ingredients at ExCeL, London. Over three days, the personal care industry’s leading event will provide a one-stop-shop for cosmetic manufacturers to do business, network and source innovative ingredients, while learning about the latest consumer trends and technical information.

A focus on make-up
To support the most dynamic category in the cosmetic market and growing demand for colour cosmetics, the 2017 edition will see the launch of the Make-up Bar. Visitors will have the opportunity to explore a range of innovative functional ingredients and technologies.

Sustainability in the spotlight
Another new feature will be the highly relevant Sustainability Corner, sponsored by Solvay – designed to showcase leading environmental and social sustainability initiatives. This is a big issue in the industry currently, with climate change, diminishing resources and globalisation pushing the cosmetic industry to profoundly change the way it operates.

Hottest topics covered
In total, in-cosmetics Global 2017 will boast over 100 hours of free educational sessions, including the hugely popular Marketing Trends presentations. Topics covered will be diverse, including the impact of Brexit on the industry and how to target millennials.

R&D professionals are invited to attend the highly anticipated Formulation Lab for practical, hands-on demonstrations. Already sold out for 2017, a full programme of sessions will be run by leading ingredients suppliers, including Akzo Nobel, Lonza and Symrise.

Additionally, the Technical Seminars will provide product development teams with technical information, claims and formulation techniques directly from suppliers. The event’s Innovation Zone will also act as a launch pad for 100+ state-of-the-art ingredients, while Mintel will host a series of live demonstrations.

The in-cosmetics Global Workshop programme will focus on the industry’s most important topics with speakers presenting crucial scientific and regulatory updates. Topics will cover sustainability, pollution and EU cosmetic claims regulation, among many others.

Also at the event will be the popular Sensory Bar, which houses a ‘try-out’ area where visitors can test innovative textures and new sensations. Textural effects remain an important focus for manufacturers and that will be reflected at in-cosmetics Global.

Country pavilions will also be a key part of the exhibition. With areas dedicated to Spain, Brazil, France, Korea and North America, attendees will be presented with the latest developments in the personal care and cosmetic industry from around the globe.

Presenting industry awards
Cosmetic manufacturers are also invited to attend the highly anticipated in-cosmetics Global awards ceremony on April 4. These awards recognise those suppliers developing the most innovative functional and active ingredients, while a Make-up Award will also be presented for the first time.

in-cosmetics Global will take place at ExCeL London from 4-6 April 2017. For more information, please visit http://www.in-cosmetics.com/.
