Strong analytical and problem-solving expertise are required for this key Demand/Supply Planning Management role. Demand/Supply Planning experience is clearly a match interest would be encouraged from Finance related candidates, looking to apply their experience to a difference focus.
- Superb analytical and numeracy skills are essential as well as advanced Excel
- Liaising with the purchasing team to ensure that the demand plan is delivered considering available inventory and product lead-times
- Ensure forecasts are aligned with the sales budget
- Analyse sales data to drive forecast efficiency and investigate variances. Review safety stock levels in line with the forecast and actual demand. Sales and marketing teams as well as in-region demand planner colleagues to ensure accuracy of Forecasting. Pro-actively managing spikes in demand, confidently challenging assumptions to ensure accuracy
- Drive S&OP across Supply Chain and Sales/Commercial teams
- Generate and present reports; including Forecast vs Actual, Supply Gap Analysis, Slow and Obsolete Lines etc. Demonstrable ability to communicate effectively on the state-of-play and deal with scrutiny
- Personal attitude; the ability to work well under pressure and apply a positive and engaging attitude when working with internal stakeholders.
