Dior and Garnier honoured at Cosmo Awards

Expert panel and readers vote for best beauty and fragrance products


Dior’s iconic Dior 5 Couleurs palette received one of two Cosmo Beauty Director’s Special Awards at The Cosmopolitan Beauty and Fragrance Awards, which took place in London on 13 July 2012. The product scooped the Beauty Classic Award, while another special award, for Beauty Breakthrough went to Garnier Miracle Skin Perfector BB Cream.

Of the 320 products submitted to the panel of expert and celebrity judges, headed by Cosmopolitan editor Louise Court, 103 received awards in the following categories: lips, eyes, cleansing, face, skin care, anti-ageing, body, hair, tool kit, sun care, self tanning and bronzing, men, hands and feet and fragrance. In fragrance, Roberto Cavalli was also singled out for special mention as Most Cosmo Fragrance of the Year.

In addition, the following C&T products won Readers’ Awards: MAC Lipstick, Maybelline The Falsies Mascara, Simple Kind To Skin Cleansing Facial Wipes, Rimmel Lasting Finish 24hr Foundation, Benefit Cosmetics Sugarbomb, Simple Kind to Skin Hydrating Light Moisturiser, Olay Total Effects 7-in-1 Anti-Ageing Moisturiser, The Body Shop Mango Body Butter, Gillette Venus Spa Breeze, L’Oréal Paris Casting Crème Gloss, Aussie Miracle Moist Shampoo and Conditioner, GHD Gold Classic Styler, Nivea Sun Invisible Protection Transparent Spray SPF30, St Tropez Self Tan Bronzing Mousse, Boss by Hugo Boss Aftershave Lotion and Barry M Nail Paint.
