The Unilever-owned subscription shave service is enticing commuters in the Old Street area
The Dollar Shave Club is officially marking its launch into the UK with a London pop-up.
From 25-27 January customers in the capital’s tech hub, Old Street, will be able to test the products before the subscription service goes live later this Thursday.
Walk-in free barbershop shaves will be available, as well as a vintage jukebox and a foosball table.
Local online radio station Hoxton Radio will be entertaining visitors and the Dollar Shave Club is hosting free comedy nights on Thursday and Friday.
“Whether you’re a bearded hipster or a clean cut city slicker, grooming enthusiasts have reason to cheer this January as American sensation,” the brand said.
The expansion, announced in November last year, is a part of the Dollar Shave Club’s global development strategy.
Unilever bought the brand for $1bn in 2016, in a move that sparked a battle of the subscription services with rival Gillette owned by P&G.
