Dr.PAWPAW, the multipurpose lip care brand with giving back at its heart, won the award for ‘exceptional achievements in cause related marketing’ at its official charity partner, Teenage Cancer Trust’s Altogether Unstoppable Awards.

The annual awards celebrate and acknowledge all the amazing things the charity’s official partners have done over the last 12 months to raise awareness and support its work.

After winning the Hot Off the Mark Award last year, Dr.PAWPAW’s marketing recognition comes after the multipurpose lip care brand launched its first ever charity collaboration product, the Dr.PAWPAW Shimmer balm. Where 15p from each sale goes to Teenage Cancer Trust, as well as a % of Dr.PAWPAW’s annual sales which will also be donated to help support the incredible work the charity delivers.

In addition to the annual donations, Dr.PAWPAW founders Johnny and Pauline Paterson also participated in internal workshops and events, providing business advice. They have contributed as part of a business and careers advice piece for the FYSOT (Find Your Sense of Tumour) event and provided insight on their Teenage Cancer Trust’s partnership at a New Business Breakfast.

Johnny further supported the partnership by running the London Marathon in October, where he raised £6,000 for the crucial work the Teenage Cancer Trust do.

The charity is dedicated to meeting the complex and unique needs of teenagers and young adults with cancer. They provide the best possible place for young people, physically, mentally and emotionally, throughout their cancer treatment and beyond.

Four stories from young people helped by Teenage Cancer Trust feature on the back of the Dr.PAWPAW Shimmer Balm packaging and these moving stories highlight the essential work of the charity’s nurses, youth support teams, and special hospital wards that help ensure no young person goes through cancer alone.

Co-founder, Johnny Paterson comments: “ We love being part of this inspiring community, a big congratulations from us to all the nominees, highly commended and winners, who together help acknowledge this outstanding charity. No young person should have to face cancer alone, we are so proud to support and make people aware of Teenage Cancer Trust. We can't wait for the new year and to continue to bring further awareness and vital funds for the charity’.

Head of Corporate Partnerships at Teenage Cancer Trust, Laura Pearce says: “We’re so delighted to recognise Dr.PAWPAW’s brilliant fundraising efforts at our Altogether Unstoppable Awards this year. The pandemic has made it extremely difficult to fundraise and with very few in person events, product collaborations have played an even more important role in protecting our specialist nursing and support services across the UK. Teenage Cancer Trust doesn’t receive any government funding, so it’s only thanks to our community of supporters like Dr.PAWPAW that we’ve been able to still be there to get young people with cancer through the toughest time of their lives.”

Dr.PAWPAW will be making its full announcement of its annual contribution in January 2022.
