ELC resolves patent dispute with Oxis International

Agreement reached over two patents


The Estée Lauder Companies has resolved a dispute with manufacturer Oxis International over technology related to two US patents and Lauders’ subsidiary Applied Genetics Incorporated Dermatics.

Under the agreement Oxis has been granted the full title to the two patents (the 746 patent and the 533 patent, entitled Methods and Compositions for the protection of Mitochondria). In exchange Lauder will receive a non-exclusive licence to the patents in the cosmetics industry. Conditions of the agreement have not been made public.
