Cult US beauty brand e.l.f. Cosmetics has hired Mandy Fields as its Chief Financial Officer, effective 22 April.

Fields brings with her 15 years’ finance experience working for big name brands including J.P. Morgan, Gap, Safeway and most recently BevMo!.

She graduated from Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business in 2003.

Commenting on her new position, Fields said: “The e.l.f. team is talented and passionate, and I’m pleased to be joining a company with such a unique portfolio of innovation, value and potential.

“I’m eager to be a part of the team executing on the strategic initiatives the company has laid out.”

E.l.f.’s CEO Tarang Amin added: “Mandy joins us with strong operational expertise and a wealth of experience in financial planning and analysis.

“She also has a proven track-record of growing brands through cross-functional collaboration.”

Amin continued: “We welcome her and look forward to the many contributions Mandy will bring to the e.l.f. Team.”

Earlier this year, the brand was fined for importing faux eyelashes containing materials from North Korea, breaching American sanctions on the country.

E.l.f. voluntarily reported the offense and avoided the maximum penalty of US$40m.
