Escada has announced the release of a new fragrance to add to its summer collection.

The scent, Sorbet Rosso, was created by Firmenich perfumer Richard Herpin.

Herpin used watermelon as the predominant note in the fragrance, combined with mandarin and calone to enhance, and pear, red apple and praline for sweetness.

Finally, tiara flower, musks and ambrox round out the base as undertones.

Mads Berg, the Danish designer, was responsible for creating the packaging and has used pink and turquoise colours in order to depict the summer months.

Sorbetto Rosso is available in 30ml, 50ml (£32) and 100ml (£40) from January in European travel retail locations and will be available US travel retail from February.
