Beauty heavyweight Estée Lauder Companies has promoted its Senior Vice President and General Manager Philippe Warnery to President.

Warnery started with the brand in 2006 as Clinique’s Regional Director for Travel Retail Asia Pacific, before moving his way up to VP and General Manager, and later into a Senior Vice President position.

Before joining Estée Lauder Companies, he served as Regional Director with LVMH and spent five years with YSL Beauté.

He will continue to report to Cedric Prouvé, who is Group President for the beauty giant.

Commenting on the new appointment Prouvé said: “Philippe’s entrepreneurial spirit and dynamic leadership are transforming the shopping experience for the UK consumers through doubling down on omni-channel experience, connecting e-commerce with free standing stores, driving digital expansion and focusing on local relevance.

“Philippe’s visionary and impactful leadership will continue to be pivotal in driving the UK and Ireland’s long term sustainable growth.”
