The former owner of Aromatherapy Associates has launched a venture capital firm dedicated to the health and beauty industry.

Ian Richardson, the co-owner and chairman of Margaret Dabbs London, said his new firm Kalos Ventures aims to support cosmetic entrepreneurs during "these difficult times".

Kalos Ventures will provide M&A advice on acquisitions, disposals, fund raising, re-organisations and restructuring supported by the company's own finances.

Richardson co-founded the firm alongside Jonathon Wackett, former Head of M&A for PricewaterhouseCoopers, and corporate lawyer Jonathan Day.

"If you are in health, beauty or cosmetics and wish to raise capital, sell or buy, Kalos Ventures has that unique 'been there and done it' experience to help you through the process in a no-nonsense, practical way," continued Richardson.

"We can provide both the advice and the funds if appropriate.”
