Exhibitors take new approaches to ageing at in-cosmetics

For many exhibiting companies, in-cosmetics has become a calendar-date for launching new ingredients and 2015's event, which took place from 14-16 April in Barcelona, was no exception.

As ever, there was a strong selection of active ingredients developed to address a variety of issues associated with ageing skin. Several suppliers unveiled new products with never-before-seen claims or modes of activity; and among these was anti-ager Collrepair DG from BASF, which stands for ‘collagen repair de-glycation’. Although there have been end products developed to prevent glycation on the market for several years, BASF’s active ingredient goes one step further, being the first which reverses the process.
