Expac (Preston) Ltd have been nominated for one of the industry’s leading awards for the contract packaging sector. Expac are competing with 3 other companies for this year’s UK Packaging Awards; the event recognises top businesses based on their performance, business innovation and achievements within the contract manufacturing industry.
This is the first time Expac have entered the awards and following on from two large investment projects the judges identified Expac as being “an excellent business with strong focus and far-sighted management”. This achievement has been acknowledged by the Directors of Expac as evidence that the hard work and investment that has gone into the business is being recognised as taking the business in the right direction and helping the company to achieve its long term goal of increasing its activities within the export market.
The focus for Expac now is to continue to develop their presence within the UK market, but to assign more time and resources to developing Expac’s presence within the export market. Export business currently accounts for approximately 8% of Expac’s turnover and the company has a target of increasing this to 20% by the end of 2014.
