Free webinar to help cosmetic and personal care industry prepare for Brexit

Published: 17-Oct-2019

‘Prepare for a ‘No Deal’ and be prepared for all scenarios’ advises MSL’s leading cosmetic regulatory experts

With Brexit less than a month away and the political landscape changing rapidly, the Cosmetics Cluster UK (CCUK), in partnership with MSL Solution Providers, is hosting a free webinar to help cosmetic and personal care businesses across the UK prepare for Britain’s exit from the European Union.

Free to join, the webinar will be taking place on Thursday, October 31, 2019 at 02:00 PM Greenwich Mean Time.

Live and interactive, the hour-long session will consist of a talk by leading industry experts, covering Brexit updates and specific advice, helping to guide SMEs in the cosmetic, toiletries and personal care sector through the key changes in legislation.

The experts will explain the likely Brexit scenarios and the impact these will have on the regulatory landscape. They will also work through the solutions to help businesses get prepared.

Angela Davies, CEO of MSL Solution Providers, comments, ‘Our advice is “prepare for a ‘No Deal’ and be prepared for all scenarios”. The changes Brexit will bring will come into force regardless of a deal.

However, if the UK leaves without one, then the new regulations are effective as of the exit date, (currently set as 31st October 2019), rather than after a transition period, to December 2020.

‘MSL is committed to helping cosmetics companies get set for business post-Brexit, whenever the final withdrawal date is. Many small companies in the industry are still simply not ready – and if they want to continue selling in Europe, they need to act now.’

The event is facilitated via CCUK with funding from the ‘Business Readiness Fund’. This fund is provided by the Department of Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy’s (BEIS) to support events, training and the production of advice packs to assist businesses in making sure they are fully prepared for a Brexit on 31 October 2019.
