French authorities step in to protect coral reefs from cosmetic ingredients damage

French health agency ANSES (Agence nationale de sécurité sanitaire de l’alimentation, de l’environnement et du travail) is to carry out a survey of chemical ingredients used in cosmetics that might be harmful to coral reefs.

The initiative was announced by Brune Poirson, Secretary of State to the Minister for Ecological and Solidarity Transition.
