The new Naturality Platform encompasses natural, renewable and biodegradable fragrance ingredients
Flavours and fragrances giant Givaudan has introduced a platform to help facilitate responsible fragrance design.
The three-years-in-the-making Naturality Platform claims to embrace the consumer aspiration for fragrances created via a conscious, authentic and responsible approach.
It encompasses natural ingredients, those from renewable sources and biodegradable ingredients, says Givaudan.
According to the company, its Naturality Platform is based on three pillars:
• A robust series of consumer study programmes that have identified consumer expectations shifting towards responsible products;
• The Naturality Guide, which provides clear segmentation and understanding of the market; and
• The Naturality Index, which supports perfumers in their choices of ingredients to make creative and unique fragrances that are respectful to nature.
