Glitter Lips receives £90k investment from IHC

After leaving without an investment on BBC 2 television series Dragon’s Den, the creators of Glitter Lips have now received a large cash injection from International Hair Cosmetics

Glitter Lips, the colour cosmetics brand by Beauty Boulevard, has received a £90,000 investment for 30% of the business.

The financial injection follows the brand’s appearance on UK television show Dragon’s Den back in August.

Founders Rachel de Caux and Paula Short were not offered investment from the Dragon’s and later said the judges had “missed a trick”.

Four months later, the brand has now received financial backing from International Hair Cosmetics (IHC), Cosmetics Business can reveal.

Glitter Lips has previously worked with the company's Affinage professional hair care brand, supplying 6,000 units to support the launch of Affinage's Rock Star Reds range, as part of a promotional product bundle.

The investment will be used to purchase the stock required to keep up with demand and also to fund new product research and development.
