Glossier hires BeautySpotter founder Gemma Bellman as Director of Europe

Formerly of L’Oréal Luxe and Goldman Sachs, The British Beauty Council board member will take the helm to boost the company’s growth in Europe

Cult US beauty brand Glossier has appointed former British Beauty Council’s Executive board member Gemma Bellman as its Director of Europe.

With ten years’ experience under her belt, Bellman will be responsible for the brand’s growth across the continent from its headquarters in London, UK.

Bellman formerly served at Goldamn Sachs and L’Oréal Luxe before taking up an advisory role at Feelunique.com and the President’s position at Get The Gloss.

She also founded hair and beauty salon discovery site BeautySpotter in 2013.

“I’m delighted to be part of a team that is democratising beauty and building a company in collaboration with its customers,” said Bellman.

“I look forward to applying my expertise across commerce, content and community to create meaningful relationships with customers here in Europe as we work together to evolve the beauty industry.”

In the last two years, Glossier has expanded into the UK, Ireland, Sweden, Denmark and most recently France.

The brand also claims to have brought on more than one million new customers in the last year and surpassed US$100m in revenue last year.
