Gucci Guilty and Valentina triumph at Italy’s ‘fragrance Oscars’

Technical jury recognises Coty Italia’s Bottega Veneta


Gucci Guilty and Valentina were awarded the people’s choice for best male and female fragrances at the 23rd Accademia del Profumo Awards, dubbed the fragrance Oscars. The awards recognised the best scents of the past year and were held on 9 March at Bologna’s Fair District following the first day of Cosmoprof Worldwide Bologna.

P&G Prestige’s Gucci Guilty and Puig Italia’s Valentina won the prestigious consumer jury awards, voted for by consumers at 350 perfume stores across Italy over the course of three weeks.

Best communication campaign (press):
Armani Code Sport – male.
Prada Candy – female.

Best communication campaign (TV ad):
Armani Code Sport – male.
Prada Candy – female.

Best web fragrance (voted for online via Facebook):
Collistar Acqua Attiva Assoluta – male.
Bulgari Mon Jasmin Noir – female.

Best olfactive creation:
DSquared2 Potion for Men – male.
Bottega Veneta – female.

Best niche fragrance:
Santal Rouge Il Profumo – male.
Violet Blonde Tom Ford – female.

Best fragrance made in Italy:
Ferragamo Attimo pour Homme – male.
Versace Yellow Diamond – female.

Best fragrance by an Italian brand:
Ferragamo Attimo pour Homme – male.
Bottega Veneta – female.

A VIP jury selected the packaging and communications award winners, while a technical jury voted for those in the best fragrance categories.
