In honour of the company’s 25th anniversary, HCT Group is giving back to the industry that has given so much to them. On August 18th, 2017 the company hosted a charity volleyball event that benefited two beauty industry related charities, Look Good Feel Better and Makeovers that Matter. Team A, The Wall represented Makeovers that Matter and Team B, The Volley Llamas represented Look Good Feel Better. While both charities received a generous donation, The Wall was able to bump, set and spike their way to victory winning a larger amount for the Makeovers that Matter foundation.

Makeovers That Matter

Makeovers That Matter (MTM) was founded in 2012 by Michael John (MJ) Derricott. The focus of this organisation is to help female veterans women get back to work. MTM not only offers these women free hair, makeup and wardrobe counselling services to help them look interview ready, but the women have access to free counselling with an employment specialist who will help them to write resumes, teach them how to successfully interview for a potential position and learn about long term career opportunities as well as empowerment counselling to help instill the confidence they need to get back on their feet, because we believe makeovers work from the inside out.
