HCT won a special Cosmoprof Award for Clinique Lid Smoothie, as well as winning the best make-up contract manufacturer and make-up cases category

HCT Packaging won two awards for design innovation at this year’s Cosmoprof Awards. The judging panel presented HCT with a special Cosmoprof Award for the Clinique Lid Smoothie. Developed by HCT NJ, the Lid Smoothies are the first colour cosmetics to use HCT’s patented award winning ZAMAC tip technology.

"We are absolutely thrilled to have been awarded a Special Cosmoprof Award,” said Anthony De Marco, executive vp for HCT NJ. “The combination of HCT's cooling tip technology & Clinique's long lasting formulation has resulted in the Lid Smoothies becoming a huge success since their launch last year".

In addition, and for the second year running, HCT won the best make-up contract manufacturer and make-up cases category. HCT CA had collaborated with Urban Decay to develop the technologically advanced limited edition Book of Shadows 4 which charmed the panel of judges with the innovative use of QR codes which users scan to download make-up tutorials.

Nick Gardner, executive vp HCT CA commented: "The Cosmoprof Awards are awarded for the best design innovations and the Urban Decay Book of Shadows IV is the most interactive palette we have had the pleasure of working on. We are elated to win the best make-up contract manufacturer and make-up cases category for the second year running".

The event took place in Bologna, Italy, and was set up by Cosmoprof and supported by AD Architectural Digest honouring CEO brands and their strategic marketing, packaging suppliers & contract manufacturers and fragrance designers for their most innovative and inspiring design products.
