UK hair and beauty stylist competition is on the hunt for retail beauty consultants and beauty bloggers for a competition, which closes next week

The ‘Create the Look’ competition aims to provide a platform for young British talent to showcase their work and is accepting entries from new hair and beauty stylists between now and Monday 6 March at 12pm.

The competition, which is run by SME Insurance Services Ltd (SMEi), is open to trainee and apprentice stylists, beauty bloggers and retail make-up counter consultants.

The winner will be crowned the UK’s best up-and-coming stylist and will receive a professional photoshoot experience for their winning look, a winner’s plaque and £200 to spend on a new hair and beauty kit at lookfantastic.com.

Two runners up will also each receive a runners up plaque, plus luxury hair and beauty products, and equipment from lookfantastic.com.

Entries may include single or multiple areas of styling such as hair, make-up, beauty treatments and nail art.

Entries will be shortlisted based on the stylist’s creativity and the finalists will be put to a public vote to give people the chance to choose their favourite look.

Commercial Director of SME Insurance Jonathan Webber said: “There is a wealth of creativity that comes from those just starting out in the hair and beauty industry and ‘Create the Look’ aims to nurture and celebrate emerging talent.”

Entrants can submit photos and videos online at smeinsurance.com before 12pm on Monday 6 March.
