Luxury fashion Hermès Beauty has made its debut in the colour cosmetics category with its first-ever line of lipsticks.

The new Rouge Hermès products are said to provide colour in a single stroke and are available in matte and satin finishes and have taken inspiration from reminiscent of Hermès’ Doblis and Box leather handbags.

Hermès Beauty’s Creative Director Jérôme Touron was the visionary behind the collection, alongside its Jewellery and Shoes Creative Director Pierre Hardy and Bali Barret, Hermès’ Artistic Director for the women’s category, who also helped put together the collection.

“I love the simplicity of pure shapes that colours have the ability to animate,” said Hardy.

“Intuitively, to become timeless, this object had to be able to morph, remain iconic, but stay fluid, be part of a connected sequence, and perpetually recognisable. A constant yet ever-changing object.”

Hermès’ CEO Axel Dumas added: “We approach this new métier in our own way, and with a great deal of pleasure.

“Hermès Beauty is part of who we are: a house where everything comes from creation, driven by artisans who seek to accompany the men and women of today with elegance, and with the integrity and authenticity that we represent.”

In conjunction with the new launch, Hermès will also introduce a lip care balm, Poppy lip shine, a universal lip pencil and a lip brush in lacquered wood.

Customers will be able to shop the Rouge Hermès range from 4 March at 35 outlets worldwide.
