The Huda Beauty founder and CEO is challenging her followers to film themselves applying make-up in a lift

Huda Kattan, founder and CEO of Huda Beauty, has launched a new competition for her followers with a prize of US$5,000 for the winner to put towards a beauty scholarship or training.

The new #ElevatorMakeupChallenge started after the 34-year-old filmed herself applying her make-up in the brand’s office elevator.

Kattan said: “This challenge is actually really hard – I got a lot of really weird looks when I was doing this.”

Now, she is asking her followers to upload their videos to Instagram using #ElevatorMakeupChallenge between 18 July and 3 August.

“Many of our followers are aspiring make-up artists and beauty entrepreneurs, and supporting artists has always been my mission, so giving a $5,000 cash prize for training or charity just felt like the best way to celebrate this challenge and give back to our community.” she added.

On 4 August she will announce three finalists from all the entries and followers can then log onto hudabeauty.com to vote for the winner, who will be announced on 7 August.
