IMCD acquires Jan Dekker
Jan Dekker to operate under existing name and management until further notice
IMCD Group has acquired all shares of ingredients distributor Jan Dekker with immediate effect.
Commenting on the transaction, IMCD ceo Piet van der Slikke said: “The activities of IMCD Group and Jan Dekker are highly complementary and this move will strengthen both companies. We share a culture of being long standing and reliable partners of our principals.”
Headquartered in Wormerveer in the Netherlands, Jan Dekker has 64 staff and sales offices in France, Germany, Poland the UK and Spain. It also has laboratories in the Netherlands and France.
According to IMCD, its management will study how and when the two companies will integrate. But until then Jan Dekker will continue to operate under its present name and will be led by its existing management team.
