Illamasqua is a colour cosmetics brand that did things differently and is following its own distinct path, as Georgia Seago discovers

After years at the helm of a major Leeds-based marketing agency, Julian Kynaston wanted to do something different. With his passion for brands at the core and a vibrant blend of inspiration and influences, Kynaston, with help from some friends, mixed up Illamasqua.

“Having had the experience of building a number of brands and seeing them sold off, he’d always had a hankering for building a brand for himself,” says Illamasqua CEO Nick Brown, of his friend and brand founder, Julian Kynaston.
