Colour cosmetics brand Illamasqua has appointed international make-up artist Pablo Rodriguez as its new Director of Artistry.

The London-based artist attended the London College of Fashion before serving as MAC Cosmetics’ Senior Makeup Artist for over 12 years.

He then moved onto CLM Hair and Makeup as a Professional Makeup Artist.

Rodriquez said: “What I like about Illamasqua is that there is something for everyone, whether it’s an understated natural look or something bold and eccentric.

“Illamasqua’s wide range of colour, high quality performance and cruelty-free formulation, tick all of the boxes of what I want in a make-up brand. It was a no brainer.”

His designs can also be found in the pages of British Vogue, Dazed & Confused, Love Magazine and Vanity Fair.

Meanwhile, his looks have featured on a number of fashion brand’s catwalks, including Moschino, Vivienne Westwood and Ralph & Russo.

Illamasqua’s General Manager Hannah Pym added: “Building on our professional authority and full commitment to innovation, education and contemporary artistry, we couldn’t think of a better partner than Pablo.

“His modern, imaginative and inclusive vision is nothing short of inspiring.”

The brand has also partnered with other influencers such as Munroe Bergdorf and Rain Dove as ambassadors.
