Induchem triumphs at in-cosmetics awards

Dr Karl Lintner also awarded Lifetime Achievement award

Induchem, the Swiss ingredients supplier, scooped gold in the in-cosmetics Innovation Zone Best Ingredient award last night, with the industry praising the excellence of its new ingredient Neodermyl.

The judges applauded Induchem for its scientific innovation in the development of Neodermyl, the use of green chemistry and the demonstrated efficacy of the ingredient that offers real benefits in formulation. Neodermyl provides a pure source of bio-renewable energy that reactivates collagens and elastin synthesis in the skin to re-energise senescent fibroblasts by supplying them with an activated source of cellular energy. As a result, Collagen III, Collagen I, Tropoelastin and Elastin are all quickly and sustainably produced, leading to visible improvement in skin texture and the reduction of wrinkle depth in two weeks, with results comparable to an injection of collagen by a plastic surgeon.

Celebrating the award, Fabrice Lefèvre, R&D and Marketing Director of Induchem, said: “Our R&D and marketing teams have worked incredibly hard to create Neodermyl, a product we’re extremely proud of. The other finalists this year all had fantastic products, so to have been recognised with this prestigious award is a real honour. 2013 has so far been a very productive year for us and we look forward to the future.”

Meanwhile, Dr Karl Lintner, independent consultant and president of KAL’idées, and Editor-in-Chief of the International Journal of Cosmetic Science, was awarded the in-cosmetics Lifetime Achievement award, up against finalists Dr Laus Stanzl and Dene Godfrey.

Lintner started out in the industry researching biological peptides at the Nuclear Research Centre in Saclay, France and, after ten years, moved on to work at companies including Henkel and Sederma, where he was CEO for a decade.

Dr Lintner said: “I am absolutely thrilled to have won the in-cosmetics Lifetime Achievement Award. It’s an honour to be recognised for everything I have done in my career by my past and present colleagues and peers.”
