International Information Officer role offers the possible advancement to International Affairs Manager
The Cosmetic, Toiletry and Perfumery Association (CTPA) is the voice of the cosmetic and personal care industry in the UK, promoting good working practice and representing the interest of its members through active dialogue with UK Government, European and international regulators, interested stakeholders and media.
Membership comprises manufacturers, ingredient suppliers, retailers and service providers, from SMEs to multi-nationals.
CTPA is currently recruiting for a key role within its international and regulatory services department to support and progress the Association’s international service to member companies.
This Information Officer role offers the possible advancement to International Affairs Manager with the appropriate experience and expertise.
The successful candidate must possess a good honours degree in a scientific discipline with a strong interest in international regulatory affairs.
Knowledge of the cosmetics regulatory framework, or a related field, is essential and previous experience of international trade is desirable. The ability to review and critique legal text is essential.
Excellent administrative, organisational and communication skills are required, as is a high level of computer literacy.
The office-based position involves helping to gather and collate information on the regulation of cosmetic and personal care products with a focus on international legislation and issues related to ‘product to market’; responding to a wide range of international and regulatory enquiries from members.
The role will include liaison with regulatory authorities and participation at the European personal care association, Cosmetics Europe, which will involve some degree of travel.
The ability to act independently and on own initiative to carry projects through to a successful conclusion will be instrumental in a successful progression to an exciting career with this leading trade association.
