Evonik and DSM Nutritional Products win multiple awards for innovation


Three new products from Evonik Degussa Speciality Chemicals (Shanghai) Co Ltd were honoured at The China Personal Care and Cosmetics Innovation Awards 2012 ceremony, held at the end of the first day of China’s PCHi expo. Multifunctional moisturiser Tego Smooth and cross linked hyaluronic acid product HyaCare Filler CL were two of six winners in the Anti-ageing Ingredients category while the company’s Super Low Viscosity Stable W/O System was recognised in the Emulsifying Technology one.

DSM Nutritional Products also triumphed in more than one category. Resveratrol based brightener Regu-Fade won in Whitening/Brightening Ingredients and Pentavitin, a deep hydration ingredient was honoured in the Soothing/Anti-itching Ingredients category.

The full list of winners was as follows:

Anti-ageing Ingredients: OTZ 10 (Exsymol), ReGeniStem Red Rice (Lonza), Ronacare Cyclopeptide-5 (Merck Chemicals (Shanghai) Co Ltd), Vitipure (Clariant Chemicals (China) Ltd), Tego Smooth and HyaCare Filler CL (Evonik Degussa Speciality Chemicals (Shanghai) Co Ltd).

Whitening/Brightening Ingredients: Raspberryketone Glucoside (Beijing Brilliance Biochemical Co Ltd), Regu-Fade (DSM Nutritional Products) and Skin Longevity Factor Peptide (Wuhan Tallyho Biological Production Co Ltd).

Soothing/Anti-irritating Ingredients: Pentavitin (DSM Nutritional Products) and SymPeptide 226EL (Symrise Shanghai Co Ltd).

UV Stabiliser/Sunscreen: LycoProtect (Sethic International Co Ltd), Pongamia Extract (Givaudan) and SunActin (Mibelle Biochemistry).

Anti-contamination Technology: Magnolia Bark Extract (Guangzhou Honsea Sunshine Bio-science & Technology Co Ltd).

Emulsifying Technology: Super Low Viscosity Stable W/O System (Evonik Degussa Speciality Chemicals (Shanghai) Co Ltd) and Wacker-Belsil 128 VP (Wacker Chemie (China) Co Ltd).

Delivering Technology: Ronacare Ectoin Fluid (Merck Chemicals (Shanghai) Co Ltd).

Feel Enhancing/Conditioning Technology: Starch Hydroxypropyltrimonium (Guangzhou Tinci Materials Technology Co Ltd), Rheomer 33 (Rhodia Asia Pacific Pte Ltd) and EcoSmooth Satin (Dow Personal Care).

The three-day show is currently taking place at The Expo Theme Pavilion of Shanghai and concludes on 29 February 2012.
