“The brand’s ethos resonated with us and we are delighted to be launching them exclusively in the UK as part of our Hair & Beauty Salon edit, on the fifth floor.”
Uka, which means the hatching of a pupa into a butterfly, opened its first barbershop in Tokyo in 1947 under the current Chairperson’s grandfather, before developing into an all-round beauty salon in 1997.
In 2009 it launched its first product range, a collection of nail oils, and entered into the café business a year later.
Today, it has launched seven collections across hair and skin care.
