Jeen International launches non-toxic preservatives

Ingredients

In response to growing industry concern over the toxicity of preservatives, Jeen has developed Jeecide AA and Jeecide AA Plus, described as functional, efficacious and, crucially, non-toxic. Jeecide AA is a liquid blend of benzyl alcohol, benzoic acid and sorbic acid, useful for natural and organic formulations.

Jeecide AA Plus, meanwhile, is an optimised blend of benzyl alcohol, benzoic acid and sorbic acid with 1,2 pentanediol. Its results are as potent as Jeecide AA, but the threshold of the three preservative agents is lower, allowing for use at a higher percentage in formulations with challenging preservation needs while not exceeding maximum allowable preservative limits.
