Jo Malone has ventured into the restaurant business with her latest collaboration.

The entrepreneur and perfumer has partnered with London’s Bluebird restaurant, as part of its Bluebird in Bloom summer campaign to create a fragrance-themed cocktail menu.

From today, consumers will be able to try the Jo Loves inspired cocktails.

Malone worked with Head Bartender Egzon Kastrati of the Chelsea restaurant on the project.

“I have wanted to collaborate creatively with the food and drink industry for a very long time, seeing if I could take my sense of smell and transport it into taste,” Malone said.

“Working together with Bluebird and Egzon has been one of those adventures in life and the perfect partnership. I’m so excited to reveal for the first time my cocktail and tapas menu.”

Malone has taken interest in the relationship between food and scent for a number of years.

She has previously launched a 'fragrance tapas' experience, which still runs from her Elizabeth Street, Belgravia, studio.

The Elizabeth Street ‘tapas’ includes shower gels mixed in a cocktail shaker and served in a cocktail glass, while bath colognes are presented in a white tagine. The body creams come on porcelain spoons, served either hot or cold.

The brand has promised ‘a unique sensorial journey’ for its latest collaboration, which features scented aroma clouds, edible flowers and chocolate glassware.

The Jo Loves Cocktail Menu:

The Pomelo: Inspired by Malone’s summer holidays in Parrot Cay, in the Turks and Caicos Islands, this cocktail includes fresh pomelo stirred with grapefruit, Tanqueray gin, lemon, lime leaf, hibiscus and is topped with prosecco.

No. 42 Flower Shop: Influenced by the perfumer's stint in a florist's shop, this cocktail is served within a silver watering can and garnished with flowers. The edible bouquet combines vanilla infused vodka, Chambord, lemon, lychee, rose, cherry and rose champagne muddled together with dry junipers, pomegranates and raspberries.

The Smoked Plum & Leather: This interpretation of an old fashioned combines plum liqueur, brandy, Laphroaig whisky, cinnamon, blackcurrant tea and lemon garnished with smoked cinnamon and dried blackcurrants.
