John Heffner joins Drybar

Company co-founder and CEO Michael Landau will remain active in the company

US blow dry salon chain Drybar has appointed John Heffner as Chief Executive Officer. Company co-founder and CEO Michael Landau will remain active in the company, serving as Executive Chairman of the Board.

Heffner was most recently President of OPI. Prior to this, he was President and CEO of CND and had also held a variety of positions at Unilever and Procter & Gamble.

“We could not be more thrilled to have John join our growing team,” said Landau. “With almost 2,000 employees and approaching 40 locations, John’s leadership experience will be critical in taking Drybar to the next level of growth.”

Meanwhile, Coty has appointed Mary van Praag to General Manager of OPI. Van Praag will begin her new role on 1 January, replacing Heffner.
