Kao to build second China plant

125,000 square metre site located in Hefei city


Kao Corporation plans to establish a new consumer product manufacturing company based in Hefei in China’s Anhui Province with a view to reinforcing its production base in China.

Scheduled for start up in 2012, the 125,000 square metre plant, Kao’s second facility in China, will be situated within the compound of the National Hefei Economic and Technological Development Area.

The incorporation of the new company will be undertaken by Kao (China) Holding Co Ltd and while initial investment is estimated at several billion yen, Kao states that production capacity will gradually be expanded in accordance with demand.
