Kylie Jenner skin care patent application fails first round

US Patent & Trademark office has taken issue with application for a skin care line from the influencer

The much-hyped and much-anticipated next chapter of the Kylie Jenner beauty story may be grounded after the US Patent & Trademark Office has reportedly taken issue with Jenner’s request to trademark the name ‘Kylie Skin by Kylie Jenner’.

According to The Blast, the organisation has asked her to make amendments to her application, with a particular focus over the exclusive use of the word ‘skin’.

Jenner will now have a grace period to make changes to her application but if this is not completed in a timely manner, the trademark application, which would cover a line of scrubs, moisturisers, toners and cleansers may be denied entirely.
