South Korea's second largest cosmetics maker, LG Household & Health Care reports record results for the third quarter: net sales reached KRW1,230b and operating profit totalled KRW150bn. Compared with Q3 last year, net sales grew 6.8% and operating profit grew 3.2%.
Growth was achieved despite slow consumer spending attributed to the lingering impact of the Sewol Ferry disaster in April, and negative impact of poor sales at the Chuseok holiday season due to the timing of the lunar holiday this year.
