L’Oréal signs new app deal with Image Metrics


Partnership for Makeup Genius app enters next phase

The partnership between L’Oréal Paris and Image Metrics has entered a new phase, regarding their partnership with smartphone app Makeup Genius.

Makeup Genius uses innovative technology, developed by Image Metrics, to offer consumers a chance to virtually try on make-up. The app has been downloaded by almost 20 million users worldwide to try on make-up products before buying.

The two companies are now working on adding new products and functions to the app to enhance the user’s experience.

Cyril Chapuy, Global President at L’Oréal Paris, explained: “Makeup Genius brings and obvious added value, a true utility to women giving them access to our large portfolio of products, trying them on, sharing them on their social networks and easily buying them. Entering this new era with Image Metrics will allow us to explore new possibilities and connect more than ever with consumers and offer them an easy, personalised and truly useful beauty e-routine.”
